NRL is anticipated to have high scores. But there are games where both teams fail to find the tryline.

NRL scoring works with four points being awarded for a try and an extra two points available if the kick is converted meaning it has made it over the crossbar and between the upright posts.

Most NRL games will see teams get a least a score of four which is for the try. However, there have been matches where both teams have finished with very low scores.

According to the ABC, below are the top 6 lowest scoring matches in NRL history.

Newtown 0 drew Canterbury 0 – 1982, Round 5

Newtown 1 def St George 0 – 1973, Round 8

Queensland 2 def New South Wales 0 – 1995, State of Origin I

Roosters 4 def Sea Eagles 0 – 2013, first qualifying final

Parramatta 4 def Canterbury 2 – 1986, grand final

St George Illawarra 8 def Parramatta 1 – 2006, Round 13
