Matt McKay will become just the sixth player in A-League history to play 200 games for the same club when he takes the field against the Melbourne Victory on Friday night.
The 33-year-old has played nine seasons for the Roar spanning two stints, as McKay played for Brisbane between 2005-2011 before returning to the club in 2013.
"To get 200 is pretty special," McKay said.
"Titles is what I pride myself on [though] and I've got a couple of those so I'm happy with that."
There's been speculation surrounding the midfielder's future at the club, although McKay was quick to abolish those rumours.
"I'm pretty sure it won't be my last season, no, I'm definitely sure," he said.
"I love the game. Its been my life for a long time now and I'm really looking forward to this season (to) make myself a better player.
"New to the club or old to the club like myself, we want to be successful.
"As a playing group we've got a great character and that will show as well this year.
"If we improve as a team we'll go close this year."
McKay joins Andrew Durante (246 games), John Hutchinson (228), Archie Thompson (224), Eugene Galekovic (215) and Leigh Broxham (208) to play over 200 games for the same club, and becomes the 11th player overall to reach the milestone.
