Boston's Chris Sale and Washington's Max Scherzer will open for the American League and National League respectively during Wednesday's (AEDT) MLB All-Star game.
Sale will become the first pitcher to make consecutive All-Star starts with two different sides, after starting the contest as a member of the White Sox last year.
Colorado centre fielder Charlie Blackmon will lead off for the National League in the 88th edition of the All-Star game, followed by Miami's Giancarlo Stanton as designated hitter, and Washington right fielder Bryce Harper is third.
For the American League, manager Brad Mills will call upon Houston second baseman Jose Altuve to leadoff, while Cleveland third baseman Jose Ramirez and New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge round out the top three.
