Rugby League as we know it began in 1998 when the National Rugby League (NRL) was formed.
However, history can be set way back in 1907 when the first competition was created in the northern states.
The NSW Rugby League ran the competition from 1907 until 1994, with the Australian Rugby League (1995-1997) and the Super League (1997) taking over.
Surpassing the 125-year mark of this great game, it'd be appropriate to dive into yesteryear to see who has been the most successful clubs across multiple eras.
Looking at the premiership winners from 1907 up until 2023, here is everything you need to know.

There are only THREE teams that are currently in the NRL that haven't lifted the trophy at the end of the season.
The Dolphins, New Zealand Warriors and Gold Coast Titans remain without a premiership triumph.
However, in the Dolphins' defence, they joined the competition ahead of the 2023 season while the Warriors (joined in 1995) and the Titans (2007) have had more opportunities.
