Atlanta Falcons (36 vs 30) Tampa Bay Bucaneers
Kirk Cousins: 42/58 completed, 509 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 interception
Drake London: 12 catches, 154 yards, 1 touchdown
Baker Mayfield: 19/24 completed, 222 total yards, 3 touchdowns
Mike Evans: 5 catches, 62 yards, 2 touchdowns
The Falcons advance to 3-2 in a Thursday night shootout, led by a season record 509 yards thrown by Kirk Cousins with four touchdowns.
Atlanta dominated possession throughout the game, yet still needed overtime to score the game-sealing 45-yard touchdown, as Baker and the Bucs held close for all four quarters.
Minnesota Vikings (23 vs 17) New York Jets
Sam Darnold: 14/31 completed, 179 yards, 1 interception
Justin Jefferson: 6 catches, 92 yards
Aaron Rodgers: 29/54 completed, 244 yards, 2 touchdowns, 3 interceptions
Garrett Wilson: 13 catches, 101 yards, 1 touchdown
While they weren't perfect on the day, the Vikings remain perfect on the season, becoming the first team to five wins.
They did it with a forgettable performance for their in-form quarterback Sam Darnold but a typically dynamic performance by Justin Jefferson through the air.
An animated Aaron Rodgers was clearly frustrated by letting this game slip, with some of his costly turnovers being a reason for the loss.
Chicago Bears (36 vs 10) Carolina Panthers
Caleb Williams: 20/29 completed, 338 total yards, 2 touchdowns
D.J. Moore: 5 catches, 105 yards, 2 touchdowns
Andy Dalton: 18/28 completed, 136 yards, 1 touchdown
Chubba Hubbard: 13 carries, 97 yards, 1 touchdown
Caleb Williams seems to be finding his NFL groove and getting better each week. Albeit against a lowly Panthers squad, the number one pick threw for his best game yet, boasting a 126 passer rating in a dominant win.
D.J. Moore stepped up as the number one weapon and will look to hold that mantle, while Andy Dalton and Carolina are left 1-4 and without much hope for the rest of the season ahead.
Washington Commanders (34 vs 13) Cleveland Browns
Jayden Daniels: 14/25 completed, 320 total yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception
Terry McLaurin: 4 catches, 112 yards
Deshaun Watson: 15/28 completed, 125 yards, 1 touchdown
Amari Cooper: 4 catches, 60 yards
With another win added to another productive performance, Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is shaping to give the MVP race a decent shake, potentially becoming the first since Jim Brown to claim the honour as a rookie.
He and Terry McLaurin are building a strong connection at Washington as they move to 4-1 against Cleveland.
Amari Cooper was the number one weapon for Deshaun Watson again, though may be exploring his options for the rest of the season as Cleveland lose faith in their waning campaign.
New England Patriots (10 vs 15) Miami Dolphins
Jacoby Brisset: 18/34 completed, 160 yards
Rhamondre Stevenson: 12 carries, 89 yards, 1 touchdown
Tyler Huntley: 18/31 completed, 194 yards, 1 interception
Jaylen Wright: 13 carries, 86 yards
The absence of Tua Tagovailoa is still glaringly evident, but the Dolphins scrape by the lowly Patriots, taking them to 2-3.
Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle remain relatively starved of yards, and with no indication of when their number one QB will be returning, their season could fade quickly.
There wasn't much to excite Patriots fans on the day as they fall to 1-4 at the bottom of the AFC East.
Jacksonville Jaguars (37 vs 34) Indianapolis Colts
Trevor Lawrence: 28/34 completed, 371 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception
Tank Bigsby: 13 carries, 101 yards, 2 touchdowns
Brian Thomas Jr.: 5 catches, 122 yards, 1 touchdown
Joe Flacco: 33/44 completed, 359 yards, 3 touchdowns
Alec Pierce: 3 catches, 134 yards, 1 touchdown
A much needed big day for Trevor Lawrence in a win for the Jags, dishing out his best game of the season so far in a tight shootout victory.
The offense was clicking on all cylinders for the first time this season, running back Tank Bigsby adding to the production with his two-touchdown, 100-yard game.
Both defences would be disappointed. The Colts allowed a struggling side to trounce them in the air and on the ground while Jacksonville allowed Joe Flacco to dice his way to three touchdowns.
Houston Texans (23 vs 20) Buffalo Bills
C.J. Stroud: 28/38 completed, 331 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception
Stefon Diggs: 6 catches, 82 yards
Josh Allen: 9/30 completed, 185 total yards, 1 touchdown
James Cook: 20 carries, 82 yards, 1 touchdown
A day dominated by C.J. Stroud, but kept close by the Bills defense and run game.
Josh Allen played one of the most inefficient quarterback games in recent memory and appeared concussed after a big hit in the fourth quarter, as the Bills coughed up their second loss of the season in as many weeks.
The Texans were leaning heavily on their sophomore quarterback to great effect for most of the day, he started hot with an early bomb for a touchdown and finally found some connection with receiving recruit Stefon Diggs.
Houston again looks like a real contender in the AFC as they jump to 4-1.
Cincinnati Bengals (38 vs 41) Baltimore Ravens
Joe Burrow: 30/39 completed, 392 yards, 5 touchdowns, 1 interception
Ja'Marr Chase: 10 catches, 193 yards, 2 touchdowns
Lamar Jackson: 26/42 completed, 403 total yards, 4 touchdowns
Derrick Henry: 15 carries, 92 yards, 1 touchdown
This may be tough to beat as the game of the season. A QB duel for the ages, littered with highlights and plays from the top shelf, culminating in a thrilling overtime finish.
Joe Burrow produced one of the best performances of any player this season with elite help in the air from Ja'Marr Chase, though Lamar Jackson could just about say the same.
The two-time MVP made one of the great plays of the season in the fourth quarter, fumbling the snap at scrimmage, fending off a D-lineman, before delivering a pin-point throw to Isaiah Likely to cut it to a field goal.
Derrick Henry essentially called game in overtime with his near 70 yard run and the Ravens claimed a huge divisional win, sending the Bengals to 1-4.
Denver Broncos (34 vs 18) Las Vegas Raiders
Bo Nix: 19/27 completed: 206 yards, 2 touchdowns
Javonte Williams: 13 carries, 61 yards
Gardner Minshew: 12/17 completed, 137 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 interceptions
Brock Bowers: 8 catches, 97 yards, 1 touchdown
Bo Nix and the Broncos get another win without looking perfect, Sean Payton squeezing just enough out of his mature-age rookie to keep them contending in the AFC West.
The Raiders don't look any closer to solving their issues and are now without Davante Adams to bail them out in any drives.
San Fransisco 49ers (23 vs 24) Arizona Cardinals
Brock Purdy: 19/35 completed: 277 total yards, 1 touchdown, 2 interceptions
Brandon Aiyuk: 8 catches, 147 yards
Kyler Murray: 19/30 completed, 278 total yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception
James Conner: 19 carries, 86 yards
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan put this loss on the costly turnovers late, increasing some pressure on Brock Purdy, who has been otherwise impressive this season.
Brandon Aiyuk and Jordan Mason were clinical in the receiving and run game, but not enough to overcome the Cards.
Kyler Murray went to the house on one of the best runs this week, while James Conner fought through the 49ers O-line impressively, as the Cardinals meet their divisional rival at 2-3.
Seattle Seahawks (20 vs 29) New York Giants
Geno Smith: 28/40 completed, 356 total yards, 1 touchdown
Tyler Lockett: 4 catches, 75 yards
Daniel Jones: 23/34 completed, 295 total yards, 2 touchdowns
Darius Slayton: 8 catches, 122 yards, 1 touchdown
Dexter Lawrence II: 3 sacks
A somewhat surprising result, given the rare promise shown by the Giants and their quarterback Daniel Jones.
Geno Smith continues to deal for the Seahawks, but New York couldn't be denied with the Darius Slayton connection on offense and the pressure applied Dexter Lawrence II and others on the Giants' defensive line.
Los Angeles Rams (19 vs 24) Green Bay Packers
Matthew Stafford: 29/45 completed, 260 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception
Kyren Williams: 22 carries, 102 yards, 1 touchdown
Jordan Love: 15/26 completed, 224 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception
Tucker Kraft: 4 catches, 88 yards, 2 touchdowns
The Packers sit at the bottom of their division with a winning record of 3-2.
They were lucky Jordan Love's thoughtless pick-six didn't cost them the game, but they'll take the win in a game that could've gone awry.
Matthew Stafford is still without an ideal weapon to throw to as he awaits Cooper Kupp and Puca Nacua. Hopefully the the season doesn't slip away from the Rams before then.
Pittsburgh Steelers (17 vs 20) Dallas Cowboys
Justin Fields: 15/27 completed, 158 total yards, 2 touchdowns
Najee Harris: 14 carries, 42 yards
Dak Prescott: 29/42 completed, 352 yards, 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions
Rico Dowdle: 20 carries, 114 total yards, 1 touchdown
Prescott's fourth down conversion to win this game has eased the tension on Dallas dramatically heading into week six, claiming another victory that could've easy been reversed.
They hold second spot in the NFC East behind the Commanders, who don't look like slowing down anytime soon, and they can thank an unlikely hero in Rico Dowdle for his dynamic performance en route to Victory.
Justin Fields is becoming less prolific as the season progresses and a couple more losses could spell the start of Russell Wilson's Pittsburgh tenure.
Kansas City Chiefs (26 vs 13) New Orleans Saints
Patrick Mahomes: 28/39 completed, 331 yards, 1 interception
Kareem Hunt: 27 carries, 102 yards, 1 touchdown
Derek Carr: 18/28 completed, 165 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception
Rashid Shaheed: 4 catches, 86 yards, 1 touchdown
Mahomes' numbers were better than the stats suggest; his pick came from a juggle in the end-zone and he had a deep bomb to Xavier Worthy interfered by a passing penalty.
Nonetheless, the Chiefs are one of two undefeated teams on the season and are yet to deliver a classic Kansas City performance.
Steve Spagnuolo's defense may be underrated, despite being widely regarded as the best in the league. They are yet to concede 30 points since the Super Bowl against the Eagles nearly two years ago, and they are stopping all offensive firepower that comes their way, no matter how dynamic.
