After a big weekend of NFL action, let's take a look at the big winners and losers from the Week 5 games. (Disclaimer: One game to come, Saints v Redskins)
Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs asserted themselves as the team to beat in the AFC, beating the Jaguars at home and even holding them scoreless throughout the entire first half. Tight end Travis Kelce had his way with Jacksonville's defence however young star quarterback threw his first two interceptions of his career in the win. The Chiefs start 5-0 for the second consecutive year.
Loser: Green Bay Packers
The Packers were beaten by Detroit and potentially themselves after kicker Mason Crosby missed four field goal attempts and an extra point in their 31-23 loss to the Lions. The Packers now fall to 2-1-2 on the year, with their two losses coming against relatively weak opponents.
Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers got back on track this season by beating up on a dismantled Falcons defence. Antonio Brown and running back James Connor ran riot as the Steelers put up 41 points on Atlanta. The Steelers face rival Cincinnati next up in a crucial AFC North matchup.
Loser: Philadelphia Eagles
The Super Bowl champions were beaten at home as the Vikings got their revenge for the NFC Championship defeat. The injuries to their offense continue to hurt their ability tyo move the ball down the field as Carson Wentz still comes into his own, he will need to soon as his side sits 2-3 in a stacked NFC.
Winner: Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals recovered from 17-0 down to beat the Dolphins and take their record to 4-1 so far in 2018. A spectacular 24 point final quarter kept the Bengals on top of the AFC North and the second best record in the AFC.
Loser: Football
The Bills and Titans game was spectacularly terrible, as the teams combined for 211 passing yards in total. Putting that in context, 211 yards for a single quarterback is probably an average game in and of itself. The Bills have a formula this season, ugly football whether they win or lose.
