The 2024 Olympic Games kick off on July 24, two days before the Opening Cermoney with the men's rugby sevens and football tournaments.

Action kicks off from 11pm (AEST) in the football, with Uzbekistan to take on Spain, and Argentina to clash with Morocco.

Australia do not have a team in the men's football tournament.

Rugby Sevens, meanwhile, gets underway half an hour later with Australia taking on Samoa in the tournament opener. All up, there will be eight football matches and 12 rugby sevens matches on the first of two competition days prior to the Opening Ceremony.

All times are AEST. For those in South Australia or the Northern Territory, subtract 30 minutes. For those in Western Australia, subtract two hours.
