Sunday's One Day Cup final is set, with South Australia and Victoria securing their places in the decider.

While South Australia had already secured their place in the final, Victoria sealed the deal with a dominant performance against NSW, chasing down 2-311 in just 37.4 overs. Their bowling attack has been a standout, with four players ranking among the competition's top ten wicket-takers.

Despite Tasmania being out of contention for a spot in the final, their chase-down win over South Australia on Sunday delivered some of the tournament's standout moments.

Tasmanian BBL star Mitch Owen's impressive knock included a 48-ball century, the fourth-fastest by an Australian in a List A match.

Owen's breakout BBL season saw him become the competition's leading run-scorer with 452 runs, 50 ahead of second-placed Warner.

The 23-year-old caught the attention of cricket legend Ricky Ponting, who told the ICC Review he would be keeping an eye on Owen to fill potential gaps in the Australian middle order for the ongoing Champions Trophy.

"Mitch Owen has opened the batting in T20 cricket and opened the batting for Tasmania in the Marsh Cup this season," Ponting said.

"Look, honestly, I'd be surprised if it is him, but I think the selectors now know that there is a really high-quality replacement there."

Saturday's final will take place at Adelaide Oval, with the Dean Jones trophy up for grabs.
