Melbourneย Rebels have snared Australian under-20s tighthead prop Tyrel Lomax from Super Rugby conference rivals the Brumbies.

Lomax, the son of former New Zealand rugby league international and Canberra Raiders star John Lomax, has signed a two-year deal with the Rebels, beginning in 2017.

The hulking front-rower, who weighs in at 127kg and stands at 193cm, is a boom signing for the Rebels given he started every game at the recent under-20s World Cup for Australia.
