The returning Mohammed Shami headlines India's 15-man squad, which will face off against England in a five-match T20I series later this month.

Last featuring for India in the Final of the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in November, Shami returns to the side following ankle surgery and knee issues.

While the seamer returns, Jasprit Bumrah (back injury) Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal are notable absences with Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel re-entering the squad.

The trio of Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, and Washington Sundar have also been named after missing out on India's last T20I series against South Africa and replace Jitesh Sharma, Avesh Khan, Ramandeep Singh, Yash Dayal, and Vijaykumar Vyshak.

The first match between the two nations will occur on January 22 in Kolkota before matches in Chennai, Rajkot, Pune and Mumbai.
