Australian quick Peter Siddle could be squeezed out of the Victorian side to face the Cricket Australia XI tomorrow.

Siddle, who along with Glenn Maxwell was only recently included in the Bushrangers' one-day squad following the cancellation of the tour of Bangladesh, may struggle to earn a spot in the opening match day side, such is the strength of the Victorian fast bowing line up.

James Pattinson and John Hastings are certain starters as the team's front line bowlers, with either Siddle or Scott Boland to take the third bowling spot.

Head coach David Saker said that only one of the two will play tomorrow.

"We'll just make that decision in the morning," Saker said.

"Scotty Boland's bowled really well in the practice games and all through the pre-season, so he'd be pushing his case. Peter Siddle hasn't played a lot of one-day cricket. We'll just have to wait and see tomorrow."

Former Australian quick Clink McKay is also set to miss out on selection.
