Wales captain Dewi Lake is in doubt for the upcoming 2025 Six Nations after undergoing biceps surgery.
The 25-year-old hooker is set to be sidelined for up to 12 weeks (three months) after suffering an injury whilst in training with Ospreys before the Christmas break.
However, Lake could potentially return to the field before the estimated time and be available for their final match against England on March 15 at Cardiff.
โI think about 12 weeks was the high end of it,โ Ospreays coach Mark Jones said of the player's expected recovery time viaย The Guardian.
โKnowing Dewi, and looking at the quality of the rehabilitation that's out there now, all we know is the operation went well and there's nothing to suggest he can't beat that target.
โDewi's got an awesome mindset, he's a great professional. I texted him over Christmas and he's right on to getting that down as low as he can.โ
It is understood that Ryan Elias (neck) and Elliot Dee (ankle) will also be available for the Six Nations tournament after sustaining injuries recently.
