The Matildas will be without star forward Mary Fowler after she withdrew from the side citing mental and physical fatigue.
The Manchester City player will miss matches against Brazil and Taiwan, but will still travel back home to Australia during the break to be with family.
She will join teammate Cortnee Vine on the side-lines who withdrew from the squad due to similar reasons, as well as Sam Kerr who continues to rehab her injured knee.
While Fowler says that she is honoured to represent Australia she must also take care of her mind and body.
"I've decided to take this time to prioritise recovery in order to refresh both mentally and physically, so that I can continue to put my best self forward for both club and country," she said.
"Playing for the national team is something that I never take for granted.
"I have, however, through past experiences, come to realise that my mind and my body are also things that I should also never take for granted.
"I really appreciate everyone's support and understanding, and I hope to see you all soon."
Australia will play Brazil on December first in Brisbane and move on to face Taiwan on December fourth in Melbourne.
