Raheem Sterling has officially completed his move from Liverpool to Manchester City after passing a medical in a deal worth £49 million.
Manchester City released a statement on the club's website confirming the deal, with images of Sterling with his new guernsey and signing his contract published on Twitter.
Sterling becomes the most expensive English footballer in the EPL after completing the move and is only second behind Gareth Bale as the most expensive British player in history.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini said Sterling is one of the best young wingers in the world.
“He is a young player with outstanding ability, and I am sure the Manchester City fans will be very excited about seeing him in action for the team.”
