Australian Sam Stosur has been bundled out of the French Open in the fourth round, following a three-set loss to Latvian teenager, Jelena Ostapenko.
Srosur won the first set and looked in control, before Ostapenko rallied, taking the match 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
The youngster proved too strong for Stosur, with her fearless ground strokes and aggression yielding her 46 winners to Stosur's 15.
The Australian veteran will now lose the Australian No.1 ranking after a record 452 weeks at the country's top female ranked tennis player, with Daria Gavrilova set to take her place.
Ostapenko now faces Caroline Wozinacki, who defeated Svetlana Kuznestsova in an entertaining three set match, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.
