Popular streamer IShowSpeed has announced that he plans to run in the 100-metre race at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The admission from Speed (real name Darren Watkins Jr.) comes after he recently raced United States Olympian and Gold medal winner Noah Lyles.
The two competed in a 50-metre race, with Speed coming extremely close to achieving the upset and has previously raced fans and other famous athletes in various places on his stream
"2028, I'll be running in the Olympics for sure," the streamer said at ComplexCon 2024.
"I'm going to do 100m and 50m, and maybe 200m."
In recent years, professional sports has seen the rise of YouTube stars and popular streamers attempt to force their way into professional sports.
Most notably, YouTuber Jake Paul broke record last weekend when he faced and defeated Mike Tyson in the boxing ring.
