The NSW Waratahs have confirmed the departure of hooker Julian Heaven at the end of the 2025 Super Rugby season.
Formerly with Lyon in the France Top 14 competition, Heaven featured in eight matches for the Waratahs last season after deciding to return to Australia.
However, despite being offered a two-year contract extension to remain at the club, he will leave to pursue a rugby union career in the United Kingdom.
“We had discussions with Julian and his management, and we attempted to retain him,” Waratahs Acting GM Andrew Cleverley said.
“We are looking forward to Julian focussing on and enjoying a successful 2025 season.”
