Surfing Australia has confirmed the launch of a new podcast that will celebrate the stories and success of women who are leading the way in the sport.

Named 'She's Electric', the podcast will be hosted by Jesse Starling and feature new episodes every Wednesday, beginning with Molly Picklum as its first guest.

Having represented Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Picklum is ranked number five in the World Surf League Championship World Tour and has won back-to-back titles at the Hurley Pro Sunset Beach event.

Seven-time World Champion Layne Beachley will follow this as the second guest as she shares her remarkable journey and provides insight into the world of surfing.

"With the She's Electric podcast, fans can expect real and raw conversations that reveal the heart and hustle behind surfing's leading ladies," a statement read.

"Each episode will delve into the defining moments of these athletes' lives – from the childhood dreams that ignited their passion for the ocean, to the struggles they've faced and overcome in their quest for success."
