Paris put on quite the show at the Opening Ceremony fr the 2024 Olympic Games, with the city and its touring athletes shaking off heavy rain to parade down the Seine.
The French capital certainly didn't disappoint, with performances from Celine Dion, Lady Gaga and Gojira, among many others, playing a part in the festive commencement.
Acts on and near the Seine lit up the Paris sky as this year's Olympic athletes wore their colours and held their flags through the middle of Paris.
With fans watching on from near and far as everyone braved the testing weather conditions, the Opening Ceremony led to some hilarious reactions.
