Australia finished second in the swimming at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, falling one gold medal short of the United States of America.
The Dolphins were a leading force throughout the opening half of the Games, with Kaylee McKeown, Ariarne Titmus and Mollie O'Callaghan all claiming gold in the early stages before Australia found further success through Cam McEvoy and two of the Women's relay teams.
Australia tallied seven gold medals for the games, with America's victory in the women's 4x100m medley relay proving to be the difference as the US claimed its eighth win in the pool.
United States of America exited the swimming stage of the games with a total of 28 medals, with Australia next best with 18.
Host nation France had the third most gold medals, with four - three of which were won by Leon Marchand, who proved to be a fan favourite throughout.
Canada was next with three gold medals, while China, Italy, Hungary and Sweden won two each.
The Chinese stood on the podium a total of 12 times, with Canada fourth for medals won with eight.
A total of 19 nations managed to win at least one medal in the Paris pool.
