The NBA has seen some outrageously high scores over the years.

That has become even more common practice in recent times with the three-point shot becoming a larger and larger part of the game.

Despite that, no game has come close to challenging the 1983 game which went to triple overtime and saw the Detroit Pistons beat the Denver Nuggets 186-184.

The second spot recently changed hands when Sacramento got the better of the Los Angeles Clippers, but it was still 19 points of the 1983 effort.
