Adelaide United coach Carl Veart has called for the A-League's Unite Round to be shared across the country instead of being permanently based in Sydney.

The Reds will play Brisbane Roar on Saturday at Allianz Stadium as part of the six A-League Men's games scheduled in Sydney from Friday to Sunday.

Six A-League Women's matches will also take place at Jubilee Stadium over the same weekend.

Unite Round was introduced last year, with Sydney chosen as the host city under a revised agreement between the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) and the NSW Government.

The deal replaced the widely criticised plan to hold the A-League Grand Final in Sydney every year.

While Veart supports the idea of Unite Round, he questions if Sydney is the best location for it.

โ€œFrom outside Sydney, we haven't seen much of what's happening around Unite Round,โ€ Veart said to News.com.

โ€œIt's a good initiative, but keeping it in one city might not be ideal.

โ€œAdelaide probably doesn't have the facilities for it, but rotating the event could give more fans across Australia the chance to be involved. That's something the APL might consider in the future.โ€

Adelaide United, unbeaten in their first three matches with seven points, aim to continue their strong start against Brisbane Roar, who are still chasing their first win of the season.

โ€œThey'll be desperate to turn things around,โ€ Veart said.

โ€œThey've had some tough luck so far but are an aggressive and competitive side. If we're not sharp, it could be a challenge.โ€

Adelaide has been preparing for the match during the international break, with Veart happy about the competition for spots in the team.

โ€œThe squad has been training at a high intensity,โ€ he said.

โ€œWe're fortunate to have nearly everyone fit, except for Jordan Elsey.

"The depth and effort the players are showing give us confidence heading into the weekend.โ€

The Reds coach is determined to maintain the team's momentum and push for another strong result.

โ€œWe've got a solid plan in place to keep our season going in the right direction. It's important we keep building on this start and pick up more wins."
