Western Sydney Wanderers winger Romeo Castelen is set to miss 2-3 weeks through injury.

Castelen was subbed off after eight minutes during his side's clash with Sydney FC at the weekend, due to a hamstring injury.

Coach Tony Popovic confirmed the Dutchman would miss at least the next few weeks.

โ€œAll reports are it's a two or three-week injury,โ€ Popovic told reporters on Tuesday.

โ€œWe'll get the scan results later today and they will confirm that and we hope that they will confirm that and he'll only be out for a short time.

โ€œThere's no issue with Scott Neville. His injury was more back relatedโ€ฆit was just a precaution to take him off and I expect him to be available."

The Wanderers face Perth on Sunday at Pirtek Stadium.
