The Western Sydney Wanderers are angered by the “severity” of “excessive” police proposals on the club's active supporter base.
The Red and Black Bloc supporters group - which forms a significant part of the club's active supporter base - revealed Friday police and stadium intentions to stop the RBB's pre-match marches, remove banners and prevent fans from swearing, standing on seats, jumping or moving side by side.
The RBB describes the issue as “an ongoing battle” and vows “we will not go away”. “For the record, the RBB has not, and will not, accept these restrictions.”
In a statement to members, club CEO John Tsatsimas wrote: “the Club has opposed the severity of the proposals and what we believe is excessive and we feel compromises the enjoyable football experience. “
