The Golden State Warriors have completed a remarkable comeback in the Western Conference finals to keep their title defence alive.
The Warriors won the deciding Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, 96-88 to reach the NBA finals, where they will face the team they conquered last year, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Goldenย State overturned a 3-1 series deficit to win the final three games of the series.
Two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry was back to his best after an indifferent series, finishing with 36 points, eight assists and five rebounds, while Klay Thompson scored 21 points.
Kevin Durant led the scoring for the Thunder with 27, whileย Russell Westbrookย finished with 19.
Oklahoma started strongly, as has been the case for much of the series, and took a six point lead into half time.
However, the Warriors dominated the third term, outscoring their opponents by a whopping 17 points, to take an 11 point lead into the final quarter.
The Thunder managed to get within four points in the dying minutes of the match, before the Warriors pulled away again to record an eight point win.
The NBA finals series begins on June 2.
