Pitching a no-hitter is one of the most exciting, exhilarating events in baseball.
What is a no-hitter?
A no-hitter is when the pitcher in a game of baseball, doesn't allow the opposition - the batters - a recorded hit. The batter can still reach base via a walk, an error or hit by pitch.
By not allowing the hitters to record a hit over a full game, that pitcher has "thrown a no-hitter," commonly known as a "no-no".
What's the difference between a no-hitter and a perfect game?
If a pitcher doesn't allow a single baserunner by even those other means, that is called a "Perfect Game."
