162 games. A divisional series. A league championship series and then a seven-game tug-of-war just to be crowned champion?
Major League Baseball truly is a game unlike any other.
The prize, though, for the teams that can run these marathons and win these crap shoots come in the form of immortality and silverware.
Since 1903, the champion of the best-of-seven battle between the best of the American League and the kings of the National League has earned the right to be called World Series champions.
And over the past 120 years and change, 25 franchises - sometimes under several guises - have hoisted the trophy after flying their league's pennant.
From a contemporary champion out of Dallas to the perennial bombers from the Bronx, here is the full list of every Major League Baseball franchise to have won a World Series title.
