Ever since its opening tip on November 1, 1946 in Toronto of all places, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has grown in popularity, with multiple millions of Americans tuning in every season as well as many, many more around the globe.

However, across the course of the first 34 NBA seasons, there was no three-point line.

These days, if you can't shoot from beyond the arc, you just don't see playing time, with shooting from downtown the name of the contemporary game.

But which players with a minimum of 250 three-pointers attempted have proven the most potent from outside the arc?
