The National Basketball League's (NBL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) award is the prestigious individual prize handed to the best-performing player of the regular season.

The NBL has rewarded athletes since its inaugural season in 1979, when American Ken Richardson dominated for the West Adelaide Bearcats.

However, mor recently the winner has more recently received the Andrew Gaze Trophy, which is named in honour of Australian basketball legend and seven-time NBL MVP winner Andrew Gaze.

As a result, the Melbourne Tigers are the NBL club that holds the most MVP awards, followed by the Perth Wildcats and the Brisbane Bullets.
