Winners
Stoke City
Mark Hughes' men have changed the perception of the club over the past few years by attacking the transfer market and playing a different brand of football, and they've done more of the same this window.
Joe Allen was brought in from Liverpool to compliment Glenn Whelan and Giannelli Imbula in the midfield, while Wilfried Bony and Bruno Martins Indi were both signed on a season-long loan to add quality depth to each end of the pitch.
After a ninth placed finish last season, these signings and Stoke's continual improvement will hold them in good stead for at least another top half finish.
Manchester United
Despite not being overly active in terms of numbers brought in during the transfer window, each deal United have made was a very strong one.
Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba have all been massive signing for the Red Devils, and if they can all fire under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho, United will be a tough team to beat.
Manchester City
Like United, City have signed some big name players, although they've also signed a bigger variety.
Illkay Gundogan, Leroy Sane, John Stones, Claudio Bravo and Nolito have all been brought in to Pep Guardiola's squad, as the Spaniard tries to stamp his authority on this team.
Both Manchester clubs have started the season in fine form, which means next weekend's Manchester derby will be a cracking fixture.
Middlesbrough
For a promoted side, the Boro have done business that a mid-table Premier League side would have been proud of.
Viktor Fischer, Alvaro Negredo, Gaston Ramirez, Calum Chambers, Adama Traore and Fabio Da Silva have all entered the squad among a few others, with Middlesbrough looking like a safe bet to stay up if all these players can gel before the season ends.
Losers
Southampton
After Ronald Koeman walked to Everton, Claude Puel needed to keep the Saints together if they were to make a push for the top 10.
Victor Wanyama, Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle have all departed, and Southampton had to once again enter a season after losing their best players from the previous campaign.
Unless Puel can work wonders with this squad, the Saints will be closer to relegation then the top 10 this season.
Swansea City
Despite a good start to the season, Swansea have lost some of their most important players from last year's squad.
Eder, Alberto Paloschi, Bafetimbi Gomis and Andre Ayew have all departed from their attacking stocks alone, while captain Ashley Williams has also jumped ship.
Fernando Llorente and Borja Baston are decent signings but can't make up for those four lost players, so don't be too surprised if Swansea just manage to avoid the drop.
