Washington 103 def. Atlanta 99 (WAS lead series 3-2)
The backcourt duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal were again fantastic, as they led the Wizards to a 4-point win over the Hawks.
Beal struggled from deep, going 1-9, but still finished with 27 points and 3 blocks. Wall not only hit the scoreboard, but also acted as the facilitator, scoring 20 points and dishing out 14 assists.
The game was close throughout, with Washington managing to make shots down the stretch to help them claim the win.
The Wizards didn't have it all their way, with Atlanta guard Dennis Schroder posting a career playoff high in both points, 29, and assists, 11.
Big man Paul Millsap was also affective for the Hawks despite the loss. He produced another double-double, going for 21 points, and 11 rebounds.
The win gives Washington a 3-2 lead in the series. However, we now head to Atlanta for game six, giving the Hawks a chance to level it up.
Boston 108 def. Chicago 97 (BOS lead series 3-2)
Boston has stormed home to knock off Chicago in game five of their series. The Celtics won the final quarter 29-16 to give them an 11-point win.
Al Horford (21pts, 9asts, and 7rebs) and Isaiah Thomas (24pts & 4asts) both had 11 points in the fourth quarter to lead their side to the win. Avery Bradley was also very good throughout, pouring inย 24 points.
The Bulls will be ruing their ill-discipline. They gave away two technical fouls in the space of almost 30 seconds in the final term.
Despite the disappointing loss, Dwyane Wade was excellent for Chicago. The veteran turned back the clock and almost registered a triple-double, he finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists.
The Bulls are still missing Rajon Rondo, who is out with a thumb injury. There were hopes he would return for this one, but he didn't feature. They are yet to win a game in the series without him.
Game six will be in Chicago.
